With a dream of becoming an Imagineer, I created my own land in Disney's Animal Kingdom based on the story of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe using watercolor. My Narnia-themed land features three rides, two restaurants, a play area and gift shop. The video below shows my drawing process of Narnia land and my passion for storytelling. I hope you are able to use your imagination to visualize yourself in Narnia.
Completed map layout of Narnia Land.
Entrance through the wardrobe that leads to the land of Narnia.
This transition will allow guests to be hidden from the land until they go through the wardrobe and enter into this new imaginative land.
The quick-service restaurant can be found in Mr. Tumnus' house. This dining location, Mr. Tumnus' Cafe, allows guests to order at the counter for food and enjoy it by stepping inside Mr. Tumnus' cozy living room for a table.
Show up to this icy palace which is home to The White Witch. The White Witch's Castle is where guests can enjoy a sit-down dining experience in the throne room or prison room. A photo-op is available in the throne room for guests to document their journey of seeing The White Witch.
Disney guests will have the opportunity to venture on a different log flume ride down the Ice Mountain. Ice Mountain Escape symbolizes the iconic river scene in The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe where the winter ice breaks because of the transition to spring weather. With CGI animatronics and a dark environment, guests will enjoy this high-speed thrilling escape from The White Witch's wolves. Beware...you might get wet!
After escaping the cold, guests will find Aslan's castle. This castle features the other major ride, Journey Through Narnia. Guests will be loaded into a car that sits on a robotic arm and has an overhead u-shape lap protection bar. The robotic arm allows for many twists and turns as guests tour inside the castle and through the land of Narnia while being guided by the Pevensies.
This land offers attractions for all guests. Children under ten can visit the Beavers and help look after their house. The buttons next to the Beavers' items will surprise your kids with unexpected movement or sound. Be careful what you touch because something might go awry!
Before stopping at The Lamp Post gift shop, guests can practice training for the battle against The White Witch by going through a series of bow and arrow and sword skill exercises. Compete against your partner to see who is ready for battle at Aslan's Training Academy!
